These courses are not a substitute or supplement for the CNOR On-Demand Prep Course. CNOR Subject Area Spotlights are intended to be utilized by nurses desiring study materials for particular areas instead of a comprehensive review course.
The CNOR Subject Area Spotlight: Professional Accountability covers professional practice standards, scope of practice, delegation, and interdisciplinary collaboration. This subject area comprises 6% of total test questions on the CNOR exam.
Objectives addressed in Professional Accountability:
- Identify professional accountability standards
- Delegate tasks to appropriate personnel according to regulatory agencies and facility policy and procedures
- Provide supervision of and education to healthcare team members
- Intervene with impaired/disruptive behavior in patients, family members, and/or the perioperative team
The course includes:
- 50 minutes of recorded subject area review
- 5 practice questions (from the CNOR Online Practice Exam)
- Upon successful completion, you will receive 5 points towards CNOR/CSSM/CNAMB recertification requirements
